You may select any neighborhood or locality (as defined above) anywhere in the world and draw from a selection of topics from this course in writing your paper.
Depending on what you decide to look at specifically in your selected neighborhood or locality, you may focus your paper on different topics and ideas from the course.
For example, you may choose to focus on the relevance or shortcomings of various theoretical models on cities, issues of residential segregation, access to housing, urban development, and renewal, urban politics, and social movements, arts and culture, etc.
